TOURISM GUIDANCE - A LEADING PROFESSION OF THE 21ST CENTURY
The theme "Vietnam - A Millennium Destination" reaffirms the picturesque landscapes and the warm hospitality of Vietnam, which have captured the hearts of travelers from around the world. The number of hotel, resort, and entertainment project applications awaiting investment permits is on the rise. In the southeastern provinces and the Mekong Delta, which have strong tourism potential, the urgency to prepare human resources for the incoming wave of foreign investment is critical.
According to forecasts from the Institute for Tourism Development Research, by 2015, the tourism sector will require 620,000 direct workers out of a total of 2.2 million jobs created by the industry, and by 2020, this number will increase to 870,000. Due to such high demand, most graduates from intermediate tourism programs, including basic and short-term courses, find employment relevant to their training.
Travel agencies and luxury resorts will be ideal workplaces for young men and women who love exploration, nature, freedom, and romance.
Skills in outdoor activities, public speaking, photography, dancing, organizing tours, and international travel management learned at school will be essential tools to help you confidently join the international tourism community.
