Nursing - Intermediate Vocational Training Program

In Vietnam's healthcare sector, the workforce of intermediate nursing and midwifery professionals working in hospitals accounts for nearly 50% of the healthcare human resources. Each year, our country will need about 10,000 nurses in various hospital sectors to supplement and meet the increasing demand for patient care.

Globally, the demand for intermediate nursing training has rapidly increased to meet the comprehensive needs of patient care. As a result, the perception of the nursing profession has changed, establishing a distinct direction as a unique career, with a more diverse and enriched training level.

Young individuals with compassion, perseverance, patience, and the ability to build trust and empathy with patients will shine in this noble profession.

 

This is one of the intermediate programs offered at Dong Nam A College.

After graduation, you will be able to:

  • Perform basic nursing techniques in various specialized fields and assist higher-level nurses in carrying out complex techniques as directed by physicians and assigned by the responsible nurse.
  • Monitor and document the daily progress of patients.
  • Provide first aid and initial emergency care for severe cases and accidents.
  • Prepare all necessary tools, equipment, medications, and medical records promptly for examinations, emergencies, and patient treatment.
  • Safeguard medications and assets (medical instruments, machinery, equipment, etc.).
  • Provide healthcare for mothers and children, family planning, vaccinations, and hygiene to prevent diseases.
